Impress HR proudly undertook its first Care Sector Employer Forum in Chippenham’s Town Hallon Thursday 14th May.
The event attracted over 30 attendees from various care organisations across Wiltshire including; adult care, nurseries and domiciliary care alongside care support agencies and training providers. Discussions around recruitment, retention, training needs/skills gaps and the perception of the industry were held alongside the sharing of best practice, available grants and how organisations could partner to enable solution based approaches.
A panel of experts were on hand throughout the meeting to facilitate discussions and share their views and opinions. Their experience covered HR and workforce development, rewards and benefits, recruitment, grant funding, training and apprenticeships.
The findings and views from the forum will now be complied into a report and submitted to the Wiltshire Education, Employment and Skills Boardand the provider forum with the aim to enable key agencies, funders, education and training providers to respond to the various issues raised.
Impress HR will be assisting the Wiltshire Education, Employment and Skills Board to run further Employer Forums covering a range of sectors. For more information you can contact Impress HR on firstname.lastname@example.org or 01225 713909.
