The Year of Engineering 2018 is the opportunity to celebrate UK engineering, as government and industry work with schools and families to offer young people a positive experience of engineering.
A career in engineering offers young people the opportunity to shape the future of the world we live in. HM Government wants to work with partners from throughout the industry, drawing on your expertise to inspire and motivate everyone from primary school children up to graduates, putting engineering centre stage. There has never been a better time to become an engineer.
As part of the Year of Engineering the Government want to work with organisations that can help us reflect the huge contribution engineering makes to the world we live in. You might be directly involved in engineering or an organisation that benefits and relies on engineers. You could be from the media, a youth organisation, local authority, university or school. Many organisations have already expressed an interest in getting involved.
With your support the Year of Engineering will offer young people, parents and teachers inspirational experiences of engineering. We are looking for fun and innovative ways to bring the campaign to life and reach under-represented groups. We would love to hear your ideas on how you might be able to support the Year of Engineering.
