Plans for a new cinema in Marlborough have been announced in the Congregational Chapel, on Saturday 11th November businessmen Orlando Harris and Bob Benton revealed  plans for the Grade II listed building. The town has been without a cinema for 30 years.

The cinema will host a café, licensed bar (planning permission pending) and 100 tiered seated cinema, this will create new jobs for the town. The space will also provide an additional venue for small musical acts and festivals such as music and literature.

The cinema plans to run 3/4 showings a day including;

  • Mother and baby showings
  • Classic matinees
  • Themed screenings
  • Live screenings of opera and theatre from London
