The Department of Education have updated their factsheet which outlines the changes being made to GCSE grading, the move is staggered from exams in 2017 up to 2020. The below table highlights the first year of teaching and the year of the exams will be in place.

This means that employers should be aware when recruiting staff that qualifications will be in number and letter over the coming years. The factsheet includes a comparison table to help highlight the equivalent qualifications for example a ‘4’ is a standard pass of a C grade.

There is also included a factsheet for parents.
