Wiltshire Council has an exciting opportunity for two apprentices to join their frontline highways and street scene teams working across the county. The service provides all the local highway and street scene front line services, which include; repairing roads, emptying gullies, keeping the streets clean, and grounds maintenance.

As a technician, you will work towards handling frontline operational matters relating to our community highways and street scene areas within Wiltshire, including acting as our representative and work with local businesses, community groups, town and parish councils and other stakeholders to ensure community needs are met.

Within your apprenticeship you will develop your knowledge skills and understanding to be able to inspect and monitor the condition of the highway to ensure that it is maintained to the statutory standard and provide the necessary documentation to protect the council from claims.

Applications close 11th June 2018.
