Following the success of the pilot programme in 2017, Network Rail is accepting applications for its 2018 Property Returners Programme. The paid programme, of up to 24 weeks, commences in September 2018. There are 5 placements available, 4 x Surveyors and 1 x Accountant.
Network Rail recognises that there are times when you may need to take a break from your profession. They know that trying to return to work in the same industry after time out can be tough and daunting. They appreciate that individuals like you are a great asset to their organisation and can bring with you enriched experience and knowledge from your time out. The Property Returners Programme is designed with you in mind.
Who are they looking for?
Network Rail is seeking surveyors of all levels and specialisms, and also has an opportunity for an accountant to work within the Property function.
About the programme
During your placement you will have the opportunity to learn more about Network Rail’s business, priorities and projects while progressively taking on more responsibility as you’re ready. The programme is intended to bring your industry knowledge and skills back up to speed and to provide you with support back into the workplace.
The programme starts with a comprehensive induction and a period of shadowing. You will have a buddy in your immediate team and a mentor from the wider business to ensure that you can settle into your role in a quick and stress-free way. You will also have the support and guidance of the HR team for additional training and development needs.
Flexible working can be considered, subject to a commitment of a minimum of 21 hours a week. You will need to be within reasonable commuting distance to the location you are applying for.
Surveyor roles are available in:
• London Euston
The Finance role can be based at London Euston or Milton Keynes.
