Wiltshire Council has two apprenticeship vacancies available.
As facilities and asset support officer, you will provide a range of business support activities to the maintenance and compliance team. This will include raising works orders for repairs, larger maintenance projects and cyclical servicing task. You will update the asset database, raise invoices and check documents supplied by contractors to process their applications for payment.
As well as day to day activity, the service is continually striving to make improvements to its processes and procedures to drive efficiency. You will therefore have an opportunity to identify changes and improvements to systems and processes.
Within your apprenticeship you will develop your knowledge skills and understanding to be able to support the delivery of onsite work including taking samples of wood fuel, and onsite compliance checks. You will also manage the content on the website, which will require collaborative working with our communications team.
Closing date: 15th July 2018
As part of the placement services administration team your role will be providing support to the foster carer development officer who coordinates and supports training for all Wiltshire Council’s fostering families. Courses are run county wide on a variety of subjects to ensure our carers are skilled and confident in their fostering role.
In addition, you will be part of a wider administration team who respond flexibly to the needs of the placement services practitioners. There is the opportunity to travel to training venues and to assist with course set up so the ability to drive with access to a car would be desirable but is not essential.
