Technology firm Dyson has just welcomed its second cohort of undergraduate engineers – with a high number of females securing places.

Competition for places at the Dyson Institute of Engineering and Technology was high, with 11 applications for each of the 43 posts. Forty percent of places were awarded to female students, against an industry average of 16.
