Careers planning is taking centre stage in a theatre tour of schools across Wiltshire.
The curtain went up at St Augustine’s Catholic College, Trowbridge, on the first of 20 performances across the county by the Solomon Theatre Company.
About 3,500 Year 8 students will see Your Choices a show written, produced and performed by the Salisbury-based drama group.
The play follows the fortunes of three teenagers who are plotting their future in the world of work.
It aims to encourage pupils to think seriously about post-school options, and weaves in information and advice about where to find help.
The run is funded by Wiltshire Council’s employment and skills service.
Laura Mayes, Wiltshire Council’s cabinet member for education, said: “This is the eighth consecutive year we have supported this project, and it does a brilliant job in opening young people’s eyes to the opportunities available.
“The play performed by three terrific young actors is a fantastic way of bringing career choices to life in a vivid and imaginative way.”
