Wiltshire Careers Education Programme
These free specialist CEIAG (Careers Education Information Advice and Guidance) lessons and curriculum produced with Wiltshire employers. These lessons for Years 7-13 cover ‘being enterprising, employability skills, what is an entrepreneur, STEM careers, Higher Education options and alternatives to University’ to name just a few.
The interactive classroom sessions are supporting schools to improve young people’s preparedness for the world of work, personal motivation, self-confidence, sense of responsibility, team work and communication/presentation skills.

This can help provide a free demand-led, flexible and responsive service for your school through:
- Sourcing employers for careers events or inspirational presentations
- Information on the local labour market, the growth sectors and employers recruiting in the area
- Help in sourcing work experience placements
- Information on routes into apprenticeships
- Employability Skills
- Will complement your current careers IAG, and not duplicate what is already in place.

Support for Schools aims to make students aware of the wide range of occupations and careers that they might consider. Support can be used to up-skill teachers on apprenticeships or the local labour market for example to use in future careers lesson. They can deliver this support through group sessions or presentations and can also deliver information to parents.
Suggested privacy notices for schools and local authorities to issue to staff, parents and pupils about the collection of data can be found on the Gov website.
