DESCRIPTION:SESSION AIMS:  \n\nTo support learners to identify good value for money and how to choose the best buy \nTo enable learners to use numeracy skills and techniques for rounding and adding numbers (mentally) to estimate the costs of purchases \nTo provide learners with the opportunity to consider how businesses encourage us to buy\, and to develop consumer awareness. \nTo encourage learners to consider their priorities and motivations when shopping\, in order to manage their spending more effectively. \n\nFamily and Community Learning courses are funded by the Education and Skills Funding Agency.
