• Show greater awareness of legal implications for poor school attendance  
• List the common reasons for school avoidance and discuss those that apply to their child 
• Develop a greater understanding of emotional school avoidance and the strategies to use when their child is at crisis point 
• Understand the reasonable adjustments that can be made by schools to support your child
