What’s this course about?  

This course will help support you to identify your strengths and weaknesses and to use your strengths to achieve your goals. It will also help you identify areas for personal development. 

Course format:  

This is a face to face course where you’ll learn together and take part in practical group activities, all in a relaxed and friendly environment.  

Who will benefit from attending?  

This course is for adults who wish to improve their confidence and self-esteem to go on to become employment ready or continue in their education.  

What will I learn?  

• How to build on your confidence and self esteem  

• Identify ways to improve your wellbeing 

How long is the course?  

This is run as a single 2-hour session, with some activities to do at home to help you practise your skills.  

Will I be assessed?  

You will be required to complete some paperwork during this course. This will record and support your learning journey and successes.  Venue: Chippenham Community Hub, No1 Gladstone Parade, Chippenham, Wilts, SN15 3BS. 

Courses are no cost to learners who meet the eligibility criteria:

Learners must be aged 19+ on 31 August 2024 to learn with Family and Community Learning this academic year.  Learners must also have a Wiltshire postcode and either have lived in the UK/EU for three years or meet certain residency requirements (for example, certain types of immigration status are exempt from the three-year residency rule).  Learners must also be able to tick one of the following criteria:

• On a lower income, earning less than £25,000 a year.
• In receipt of benefits (other than child benefit).
• Care leaver, refugee, foster carer, carer, military family / ex-armed forces personnel, learning difficulty or disability, or have school-aged children who receive free school meals.
• Not in work and looking to go into work, now or in the future.
