DESCRIPTION:What’s this course about?    \nThis course will help you to prepare for future employment working in schools. It gives an insight into the varied roles and activities you might be involved in and gives you the opportunity to learn alongside other like-minded people. \nCourse format:    \nThis is an online course where you’ll learn together and take part in practical group activities\, all in a relaxed and friendly environment.    \nWho will benefit from attending?    \nThis course is for people who want to work with children in educational settings \nWhat will I learn?     \n\nAbout some of the many roles and responsibilities involved in working in schools  \n\n\nAbout statutory and non-statutory documents in their chosen age range  \n\n\nHow to identify needs and support them \n\n\nHow to report concerns and development points  \n\n\nAbout some of the causes of challenging behaviour and how to deal with it \n\n\nAbout planning for learning \n\nHow long is the course?    \nThis is run as 2-hour sessions over 5 weeks\, with some activities to do at home to help you practise your skills.    \nWill I be assessed?    \nYou will be required to complete some paperwork during this course. This will record and support your learning journey and successes.   \nFaCL courses are funded by the DfE.\nCourses are no cost to learners who meet our eligibility criteria. Learners must be aged 19+ on 31 August of the academic year\, have a Wiltshire postcode and meet certain residency requirements.
