DESCRIPTION:Location: Chippenham What’s this course about?   This course will help you improve your English language skills by focusing on essential communication skills\, grammar and vocabulary.    Course format:   This is a face-to-face course where you’ll learn together and take part in practical group activities\, all in a relaxed and friendly environment.   Who will benefit from attending?   This course will benefit anyone who would like to improve their English language skills at Entry 3 or above.    What will I learn?   Be able to communicate better in everyday English Improve your speaking\, listening and pronunciation skills Practise reading and complex writing skills. Practise your debating skills Increase your vocabulary Focus on your grammar including the perfect tenses and conditionals How long is the course?   This is run as 2-hour sessions over 10 weeks\, with some activities to do at home to help you practise your skills.   Will I be assessed?   You will be required to complete some paperwork during this course. This will record and support your learning journey and successes.   Entry Requirements: FaCL courses are funded by the UK government via the Adult Skills Fund. Courses are no cost to learners who meet our eligibility criteria.  Learners must be aged 19+ on 31 August of the academic year\, have a Wiltshire postcode and meet certain residency requirements. They must also be able to tick one of the following criteria: On a lower income (individual income less than £25\,750 a year)In receipt of benefits (other than child benefit)Care leaver\, refugee\, foster carer\, carer\, military family / ex-armed forces personnelHave a learning difficulty or disabilityHave school aged children who receive means-tested free school meals.Not in work and looking to go into work\, now or in the future.If you are unsure if you are eligible\, we are always happy to talk things through carefully.
