DESCRIPTION:Enhance Your English – Writing Well \nWhat’s this course about?    \nOur Enhance Your English (EYE) courses will help you to develop the English skills you need for further study\, work or volunteering.  These courses are ideal preparation if you are thinking of studying Functional Skills English or GCSE English or want to brush up your English skills ready for work or study.  Your tutor will help you to work on your spelling\, punctuation\, grammar\, writing\, reading and communication skills in an informal and supportive online class\, and there will be learning activities to complete online too.     \nIn EYE – Writing Well\, you will develop your confidence expressing yourself in writing\, and explore ways that writing can improve your wellbeing.   \nCourse format:    \nThis is an online course where you’ll learn together and take part in practical group activities\, all in a relaxed and friendly environment.    \nWho will benefit from attending?    \nThis course will prepare learners for their next steps in further study (including Functional Skills English).     \nWhat will I learn?    \n\nHow to use a range of different written formats to express and organise ideas\, thoughts and emotions. \nHow to identify the structure and purpose of a variety of different written formats. \nHow to gain confidence expressing yourself in writing\, and develop an understanding of how this supports wellbeing. \n\nHow long is the course?    \nThis is run as a single 2-hour session\, with some activities to do at home to help you practise your skills.    \nWill I be assessed?    \nYou will be required to complete some paperwork during this course. This will record and support your learning journey and successes.    \nEntry Requirements:    \nFaCL online courses are funded by the education and skills funding agency. Courses are no cost to learners if they are 19+ and have been a resident in UK/EU for 3+years.   \nand if you can tick any of these criteria:   \n\nhave less than 5 GCSEs grades a-c  \nin receipt of benefits   \nare a service family  \nare a family with SEN children  \nare unemployed  \n\nIf you are unsure if you are eligible\, we are always happy to talk things through carefully.
