SUMMARY:Exploring Celebrations Around the World - Face to face
DESCRIPTION:What’s this course about?    \nThe purpose of this course is to explore different celebrations around the world and discover how and why they are celebrated.  \nWho will benefit from attending?    \nThis course is for parents and carers who want to support their child/children with their learning.  \nWhat will I learn?    \n\nDiscover a variety of different festivals and celebrations from across the world.  \n\n\nExplore how these are celebrated. \n\n\nLearn how to create decorations and crafts to support the celebrations. \n\nHow long is the course?    \nThis is run as a single 2-hour session\, with some activities to do at home to help you practise your skills.    \nWill I be assessed?    \nYou will be required to complete some paperwork during this course. This will record and support your learning journey and successes.    \nVenue: The Riverbank\, The Olympiad\, Chippenham SN15 3PA \nTime: 13:00-15:00 \nCourses are no cost to learners who meet the eligibility criteria: \nLearners must be aged 19+ on 31 August 2024 to learn with Family and Community Learning this academic year.  Learners must also have a Wiltshire postcode and either have lived in the UK/EU for three years or meet certain residency requirements (for example\, certain types of immigration status are exempt from the three-year residency rule).  Learners must also be able to tick one of the following criteria: \n\nOn a lower income\, earning less than £25\,000 a year.\nIn receipt of benefits (other than child benefit).\nCare leaver\, refugee\, foster carer\, carer\, military family / ex-armed forces personnel\, learning difficulty or disability\, or have school-aged children who receive free school meals.\nNot in work and looking to go into work\, now or in the future.\n\nIf you do not feel you fit within the criteria\, we may still be able to help.  Please get in touch with us to discuss this further. \nClick here to enrol: https://workwiltshire.co.uk/enrolment/ \nOr to contact us call 01225 770478 or email familyandcommunitylearning@wiltshire.gov.uk \nhttps://www.facebook.com/Wiltsfamilylearning \nBack to What’s On?
