The course encourages learners to develop practical skills that can be used at home to prepare healthy\, affordable meals. Who is this course for?This course is suitable for adults who would like to improve their independent living skills and gain confidence preparing and cooking food. What will I learn?By the end of the session\, you will: Learn how to prepare and cook a simple one-pot mealTake home additional portions of the recipeFeel more confident adapting recipes to suit your needsPrepare and cook food safelyUnderstand food hygiene practices when preparing and cooking foodDevelop an understanding of timings when cookingExplore ways to create balanced and nutritious mealsCourse FormatThis is a face-to-face course where learners will learn together and take part in practical cooking activities in a relaxed and friendly environment. The session includes tutor guidance\, hands-on cooking experience and opportunities to develop confidence in food preparation and kitchen skills.
