What’s this course about?  

This course will help you evaluate and improve your own reading skills, and to give you the language, experience and confidence to support your children with their reading. 

Course format:  

This is an online course where you’ll learn together and take part in practical group activities, all in a relaxed and friendly environment.  

Who will benefit from attending?  

This course is for parents and carers who want to support their child/children with reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. 

What will I learn?  

• Discover how English is taught in schools today    
• Explore tips and ideas for encouraging your child’s reading skills 
• Develop your skills so that you can support your children with their homework 

How long is the course?  

This is run as 2-hour sessions over 5 weeks, with some activities to do at home to help you practise your skills.
