DESCRIPTION:Location: Trowbridge\n\nWhat’s this course about?    \n\nThis two-hour course focuses on exploring ways to save energy (and money) around the home in order to reduce your outgoings.  \n\nCourse format:    \n\nThis is a course where you’ll learn together and take part in practical group activities\, all in a relaxed and friendly environment.    \n\n  Who will benefit from attending?    \n\nThis course is for adults who would like to learn practical ways to reduce energy usage and save money in their home.  \n\n  What will I learn?   \n\n 	Find out where energy could be saved in different areas of my home  \n\n\n 	Compare the costs of running different household appliances  \n\n\n 	Explore ways to minimise food waste and safely store leftovers  \n\n  How long is the course?    \n\nThe session is 2 hours long.  \n\nWill I be assessed?    \n\nYou will be required to complete some paperwork during this course. This will record and support your learning journey and successes.  \n\nEntry Requirements:\n\nFaCL courses are funded by the UK government via the Adult Skills Fund.\n\nCourses are no cost to learners who meet our eligibility criteria.  Learners must be aged 19+ on 31 August of the academic year\, have a Wiltshire postcode and meet certain residency requirements. They must also be able to tick one of the following criteria:\n\n 	On a lower income (individual income less than £25\,750 a year)\n\n\n 	In receipt of benefits (other than child benefit)\n\n\n 	Care leaver\, refugee\, foster carer\, carer\, military family / ex-armed forces personnel\n 	Have a learning difficulty or disability\n 	Have school aged children who receive means-tested free school meals.\n\n\n 	Not in work and looking to go into work\, now or in the future.\n\nIf you are unsure if you are eligible\, we are always happy to talk things through carefully.\n\nTo book a place\, please give us a ring on 01225 770 478.\n\nPlease get in touch if you have any questions.
