DESCRIPTION:Location: Chippenham\n\nWhat’s this course about?  \n\nThe purpose of this suite of 5 courses is to enhance learner skills in their social\, financial\, nutrition\, health and home life. \n\nThe course will enable learners to learn how to budget and explore a range of money saving practices in order to manage their finances more effectively. \n\nCourse format:  \n\nThis is a face-to-face course where you’ll learn together and take part in practical group activities\, all in a relaxed and friendly environment.  \n\nWho will benefit from attending?   \n\nThis course is for adults who wish to improve their independence and find out how to take control of making the best of their environment in order to work towards developing their skills in other ways such as employment\, volunteering or community engagement.  \n\nWhat will I learn? \n\n 	How to keep track of spending. \n\n\n 	Feel confident when making financial decisions. \n\n\n 	Recognise items that are value for money. \n\n\n 	Choose wisely when buying items. \n\n\n 	Apply maths kills in real life situations. \n\n\n 	 Understand how to keep track of their expenditure   \n\n\n 	Apply maths skills to real life situations \n\n How long is the course?  \n\nEach session is 2 hours long and runs over 5 weeks \n\nWill I be assessed?  \n\nYou will be required to complete some paperwork during this course. This will record and support your learning journey and successes. \n\nFaCL courses are funded by the DfE.\n\nEntry Requirements:\n\nFaCL courses are funded by the UK government via the Adult Skills Fund.\n\nCourses are no cost to learners who meet our eligibility criteria.  Learners must be aged 19+ on 31 August of the academic year\, have a Wiltshire postcode and meet certain residency requirements. They must also be able to tick one of the following criteria:\n\n 	On a lower income (individual income less than £25\,750 a year)\n\n\n 	In receipt of benefits (other than child benefit)\n\n\n 	Care leaver\, refugee\, foster carer\, carer\, military family / ex-armed forces personnel\n 	Have a learning difficulty or disability\n 	Have school aged children who receive means-tested free school meals.\n 	Not in work and looking to go into work\, now or in the future.\n\nIf you are unsure if you are eligible\, we are always happy to talk things through with you.\n\nTo book a place\, please give us a ring on 01225 770 478.\n\nPlease get in touch if you have any questions.
