The course provides an introduction to the varied roles and responsibilities involved in early years education and offers the opportunity to learn alongside other like-minded people.You will explore how children learn and develop\, gain an understanding of key guidance and documentation used within early years settings\, and develop knowledge of how to support children’s individual needs. Who is this course for?This course is for adults who are interested in working with children in educational settings\, particularly within early years environments. You may benefit from this course if you would like to: Learn more about working in early years educationPrepare for future employment in childcare settingsUnderstand the responsibilities of early years practitionersDevelop knowledge and confidence around supporting childrenExplore career opportunities working with childrenWhat will I learn?During the course\, you will: Learn about the many roles and responsibilities involved in working in early yearsUnderstand statutory and non-statutory guidance used in early years settingsExplore how to identify and support individual children’s needs\, including SENDLearn how to report concerns and support children’s developmentUnderstand some of the causes of challenging behaviour and appropriate ways to respondLearn about planning for learning using a range of early years documents and frameworksCourse FormatThis is an online course delivered in a relaxed and friendly learning environment. Learners will take part in tutor-led learning\, discussions\, and practical group activities. There will also be activities to complete at home to help reinforce learning and develop skills.
