JobCentre Plus

If you are 18 to 24 years old and out of work, help and support is available from many different places.

A good place to start is your local Jobcentre Plus. A work coach can give you information about programmes to help you prepare for, find and stay in work. You can also get help with moving from benefits to work. www.gov.uk/contact-jobcentre-plus

Across Wiltshire and Swindon there are 5 Jobcentres: Chippenham, Devizes, Salisbury, Swindon and Trowbridge.

The support available through your Jobcentre is extensive including: help with preparing a CV and interview techniques, access to training, work experience and referrals to programmes such as Kickstart and the Work and Health programme.

Once you have made a claim to benefit online, you will be assigned a work coach who will then work with you and support you to move closer to employment.
