About the role –
If you’re interested in development, regeneration and sustainability, becoming a town planner could be the career for you.
We are looking for graduates ideally with an RTPI accredited degree but more importantly those with a real passion and desire to build a career within planning.
We will consider graduates from a non-planning background provided you are dedicated to joining the planning industry. If successful, you will also be expected to undertake an RTPI Masters conversion course while you are with us.
We will offer a development programme designed to help you build your knowledge and expertise to move from education to professional success. The programme comprises of several elements, all designed to assist your potential including:
•A formal training programme for all graduates
•Dedicated mentorship throughout the programme (and on-going)
•Individual Development Plan to create and track career planning, professional development, and training activities
•A minimum of 20 hours of training/CPD each year (in various forms)
•Opportunities for faster career progression
About you
The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
You will need to be able to manage your time well and have good organisation skills and the ability to prioritise your work to achieve the deadlines set for determining planning applications.
To be considered for this role you will ideally have an RTPI accredited we will consider graduates from a non-planning background. Excellent IT skills are also important for this role including use of Microsoft applications and specialist systems.
