Tap into your future with Wessex Water’s Talent Pipeline

Wessex Water have launched their 2021 early careers recruitment campaign ‘Talent Pipeline’ to coincide with National Apprenticeship Week.

The company is creating more than 100 roles over the next six months, aimed at young people looking to enter the water industry.

“At a time when many are worried about a generation of young people missing opportunities, we’re proud to have taken the approach to invest in our future, not just as a business, but as a community. Positions include apprenticeships, industrial placements, graduates and the government’s new Kickstart scheme. Many of our positions and placements don’t require qualifications, or experience, so we encourage everyone to take a look and see what is available. We also have numerous vacancies for experienced workers too.”

Early Careers Manager Becca Thurston

Wessex Water offers quick and simple application processes for both Kickstart and Apprenticeships, and will help candidates explore careers and options throughout the recruitment process. University level candidates will need to submit a CV and supporting statement.

The recruitment window will run for eight weeks and close on Wednesday 31 March. The vacancies advertised within the window will include:

  • Almost 30 apprenticeships
  • Over 40 kickstart placements
  • A dozen graduate roles
  • Over 10 industrial placements.

The launch will see an exciting social media campaign, with real-life stories from current and past apprentices, graduates and placement students. Along with live streams for parents and career influencers taking place on Thursday 18 February, Wessex Water’s Early Careers webpages have been revamped for the occasion.
