Tesco’s Stronger Starts Retail Apprenticeship gives you a stronger start towards an exciting and rewarding career. If you have the passion and commitment to succeed, you could even become a Shift Leader at the end of your apprenticeship.

So what’s in it for you?
You’ll earn £22,500 while you learn; gain a Level 2 National Standard in Retail, equivalent to 5 GCSE passes; and get a permanent position after the apprenticeship.

The apprenticeship is based in-store and takes a minimum of 12 months to complete. You’ll join a supportive and inclusive team, spending time doing a range of activities such as marketing, business and technology. You’ll also gain hands-on store experience, picking orders, restocking, and supporting customers and community events.

Applications are now open in all Tesco stores across England for their September 2025 cohort.
