What’s this course about?
This two-hour course focuses on exploring ways to save energy (and money) around the home in order to reduce your outgoings.
Course format:
This is a course where you’ll learn together and take part in practical group activities, all in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Who will benefit from attending?
This course is for adults who would like to learn practical ways to reduce energy usage and save money in their home.
What will I learn?
- Find out where energy could be saved in different areas of my home
- Compare the costs of running different household appliances
- Explore ways to minimise food waste and safely store leftovers
- On a lower income (individual income less than £25,750 a year)
- In receipt of benefits (other than child benefit)
- Care leaver, refugee, foster carer, carer, military family / ex-armed forces personnel
- Have a learning difficulty or disability
- Have school aged children who receive means-tested free school meals.
- Not in work and looking to go into work, now or in the future.
