Carers look after someone at home who has extra needs, for example an illness, disability or addiction. A Young Carer is anyone under the age of 18 years who cares for someone as part of their home life. It is important you get support if you are a carer to help you to continue with learning or to find employment.

Wiltshire Council offers a guaranteed work experience placement for Young Carers. Visit the Careers website to apply and make sure to tick a box to ensure HR know you are a young carer. This experience will allow you to gain skills and confidence in your chosen preferred area.
