What’s this course about?
Explore the meaning of anxiety and worry and how they affect the body, behaviour, emotions and thoughts. Discover ways that worries can be managed. Assess and manage thoughts and beliefs, through the ABC model of stress management, to understand how this can positively impact on emotional wellbeing. Understand when and who to ask for help.
Course format:
This is a course where you’ll learn together with others in a small group and take part in practical group activities, all in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Who will benefit from attending?
This course is for adults that would like support in dealing with their worries and or anxieties, it will provide a toolkit to help you manage these.
What will I learn?

How long is the course?
The session is 2 hours long
Will I be assessed?
You will be required to complete some paperwork during this course. This will record and support your learning journey and successes.
Entry Requirements:
Family and Community Learning courses are funded by the Education and Skills Funding Agency. Courses are no cost to learners if they are aged 19+, have a Wiltshire postcode, and have been a resident in UK/EU for 3+years (or have certain immigration status) and if you can tick any of these criteria:
- have less than 5 GCSEs grades A-C / 9-4
- in receipt of benefits (other than child benefit)
- are a military family
- are a family with children who need additional support
- are unemployed and looking for work.
