There are many options for: after finishing your GCSEs, young job seekers or re-engaging in learning and because it’s important to choose what is right for you, we have joined up with partner organisations to make it as simple as possible to access the support available. We have lots of information to support you, just browse by topics: NEXT STEPS, LEARN, EARN and SUPPORT.

For those of you aged 16-17, there is one-to-one support if you are Not in Education, Employment or Training and are not supported by other council services. You can contact our EET service using the online contact form below or for more information on this service visit our SUPPORT page.

They have professional guidance advisers will work with local and regional partners to ensure support is in place to work with young people who are unemployed. Working with region specific initiatives; for example, careers Hubs, youth zones our advisers can help young people with:

  • Finding out about local labour market information, where the jobs are now and may be in the future
  • Identifying skills
  • CV writing
  • Applying for jobs
  • Resilience and confidence
  • Interview practice
  • Online courses
  • Apprenticeships.

Support is available for individuals who have lost their jobs or whose jobs have been affected by COVID-19.
