National Apprenticeship Week – Are you ready?

National Apprenticeship Week is almost here, this coming Monday if you have missed our earlier news and tweets, and despite a challenging economic climate there are lots of events and activities taking place (virtually of course).

It is great to see so much content aimed at employers, young people and parents, and we will be featuring much of this over the coming week. We are also working closely with our colleagues at Swindon and Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership and Swindon Borough Council to ensure no one is forgotten in the apprenticeship journey; keep a look out for the supplement in the local press, in print and online.

Apprenticeships form a key part of our working day, and we often find resources and information after working hours on various social media sites which we share with you from time to time on this news feed and twitter.

Apprenticeships are advertised year round, and we select current, local opportunities for publishing in our weekly vacancy listing – make sure you take time out to visit it soon.

If you are the parent or carer of a young person in years 10 to 13, there is a strong possibility that they will be receiving apprenticeship activities through the ASK Programme, fully funded to support young people, teachers and parents navigate the apprenticeship landscape, we know Mike, who delivers this programme across Swindon and Wiltshire has a very full diary of events.
