Evie Rawlings, 22, is on a Level 3 Marketing Apprenticeship at Systemagic in Bradford-On-Avon who provide IT support for many small businesses in Wiltshire and Somerset.

What is your background, was an Apprenticeship your first choice?

I attended Sixth From and then went to University and got my Degree in Film, TV and Digital Production, but I found it hard to find a role when I graduated as I had no experience. I was mostly interested in marketing and started looking for those roles, that’s when I found this apprenticeship. I made sure to do my research to understand what an apprenticeship was before the interview.

What does your role entail and what advice would you give to others considering an apprenticeship?

I take care of the marketing and creating content for Systemagic, we have just redesigned the website which I took the lead on. We made it more interactive and created new videos. I also run our Social Media channels – Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook.

I would advise young people leaving School or Sixth Form to do your own research, sometimes School don’t give you all the options.
