Course Details

Welcome Meeting: 14 September, 10:00am to 11:00am

Duration: 4 weeks

Sessions:

  • Monday, 10:00am to 12:00pm (Face-to-Face)
  • Monday, 12:30pm to 2:30pm (Face-to-Face)
  • Thursday, 10:00am to 12:00pm (Online)

There may also be activities to complete at home to help you practise and develop your skills between sessions.

What is this course about?

Resilience and Readiness is a four-week course designed to help you develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to feel emotionally prepared for employment. You will explore practical tools and techniques to build confidence, develop resilience and improve your readiness for finding and starting work.

Who is this course for?

This course is for adults who have been out of work for some time and would like to rebuild their confidence, develop workplace skills and feel more prepared for employment.

What will I learn?

By attending this course, you will learn:

  • How to feel more confident about yourself and your skills
  • How to respond positively to life’s challenges and develop resilience
  • Techniques to help manage stress and anxiety
  • Ways to gain and maintain motivation
  • How to develop interpersonal skills and work effectively with others

Course format:  

This is a blended learning course combining face-to-face and online sessions. You will learn in a small, supportive group and take part in practical activities in a relaxed and friendly environment.

What Support Will I Receive?

You will be supported throughout the course by an experienced tutor in a welcoming and encouraging learning environment. You will have opportunities to ask questions, share experiences and learn alongside others.

Who will benefit from attending?  

This course is for people who have been out of work for some time and have lost confidence.
