What’s this course about?
This course looks at the expectations of study and revision in secondary school and 6th form. It looks at ways to revise, ways to plan for revision, maintaining school-life balance in order to enable parents and carers to support teens to achieve their academic goals.
Course format:
This is an online course where you will learn together and take part in practical group activities, all in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Who will benefit from attending?
This course is for parents and carers who want to support their 12+ year old to navigate study and revision
What will I learn?
- Learners will explore revision strategies
- Learners will discuss ways to communicate supportively with teens over study
- Learners will consider how to promote study/life balance
- On a lower income (individual income less than £25,750 a year)
- In receipt of benefits (other than child benefit)
- Care leaver, refugee, foster carer, carer, military family / ex-armed forces personnel
- Have a learning difficulty or disability
- Have school aged children who receive means-tested free school meals.
- Not in work and looking to go into work, now or in the future.
