A new initiative has been launched to acknowledge organisations working in partnership with the CIPD to continually raise the level of expertise within their HR and L&D teams.
The People Development Partner status will be awarded to employers that have shown they are champions of the profession by providing entry-level HR jobs, continually support teams through training and development, and worked alongside the CIPD in its research and policy work.
Organisations will also have to demonstrate a commitment to the ongoing professionalism of their people professionals through qualifications and CIPD membership.
The CIPD has also launched a profession map to help organisations on their way to gaining the status, guiding them through changes in the sector.
