Disability Confident Scheme

Disability Confident Scheme

The Disability Confident scheme aims to help employers make the most of the opportunities provided by employing disabled people. It is voluntary and has been developed by employers and disabled people’s representatives.

The scheme has 3 levels that have been designed to support those on their Disability Confident journey. Employers must complete each level, committed, employer or leader, before moving on to the next.

The Department for Work and Pensions has recently updated and published (4 Jan. 2021) the employers that have signed up to the Disability Confident scheme, and their level (status).

Wiltshire Council, alongside over 120 Swindon and Wiltshire employers, appear on this list which is great news for individuals seeking employment in the area.

You can see for yourself who is on the list of employers that have signed up you can also view Guidance about signing up for the Disability Confident scheme, and how it can help your business.
