What’s this course about? Venue: Trowbridge
This course supports learners to identify their key skills in order to develop confidence in identifying how they can plan for their future. Learners will contribute to activities designed to use and enhance a range of collaborative and communication skills which will support their next steps.
Course format:
This is a Face to Face course where you’ll learn together and take part in practical group activities, all in a relaxed and friendly environment.

This course is people who want support in identifying their skills and are looking to make changes to improve their lives.
What will I learn?
Learners will explore their personal qualities, skills and interests
They will recognise that we all have different skills, qualities and interests
They will discuss how different skills, qualities and interests complement each other
Learners will explore how to promote themselves effectively
They will learn to set goals
How long is the course?
This is run as a single 2-hour session, with some activities to do at home to help you practise your skills.
Will I be assessed?
You will be required to complete some paperwork during this course. This will record and support your learning journey and successes.
FaCL courses are funded by the DfE.
Courses are no cost to learners who meet our eligibility criteria. Learners must be aged 19+ on 31 August of the academic year, have a Wiltshire postcode and meet certain residency requirements. You must also be able to tick one of the following criteria:
- On a lower income (individual income less than £25,750 a year)
- In receipt of benefits (other than child benefit)
- Not in work and looking to go into work, now or in the future
- Care leaver, refugee, foster carer, carer, military family / ex-armed forces personnel,
- Have a learning difficulty or disability
- Have school-aged children who receive means-tested free school meals
- Not in work and looking to go into work, now or in the future
